hansen-parkA 63-year-old man facing two charges of doing an indecent act in an Opawa Park has been granted a registrar’s remand for three weeks to arrange legal advice.

Martin Paul Robson, of Avondale, has been charged with doing indecent acts in a public place – Hansen Park – on July 2 and 30.

Police arrested him on Wednesday when he was allegedly seen near the park by Christchurch City Council safe-city officers.

The officers alerted the police who stopped the man’s car nearby.

Police have reported a series of incidents over the past two months of a man exposing himself to members of the public in the vicinity of the park, and in Aynsley Terrace, and Butler Street.

Robson did not appear in court today but was granted a registrar’s remand on bail to September 9, at the Christchurch District Court.
