A man charged with possession of methamphetamine, cannabis, and a pistol, pleaded not guilty to all the charges in the Christchurch District Court today.
After being stopped for speeding Jamie Rangi Heron was taken into custody for allegedly breaching bail on drugs and firearm charges.
The 27-year-old painter-decorator was then charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis, and possession of a pistol that police say they found in his car.
Heron pleaded not guilty to all the charges when he appeared by video link from the prison.
Judge Noel Walsh remanded him in custody to a case review hearing on May 26.
