A 61-year-old company director has pleaded not guilty to three sex charges, on the same day that police have laid 10 more charges.
John Michael Condon, from Lansdowne in the Selwyn District, was granted name suppression at his last court appearance, but that lapsed and was not pursued by his defence counsel Margaret Sewell today.
He pleaded not guilty to a charge of indecent assault of an underage girl, sexual violation of a child, and attempting to indecently assault a child.
Police have laid four more charges of indecent assault, two of indecent acts on young girls, one assault with intent to rape a young girl, and three charges of paying for sex with under-aged girls.
The alleged offending occurred between 2006 and 2014.
Judge Sharon McAuslan remanded Condon in custody to appear for a bail application on March 9.
