Cannabis raid accused sent for trial

Ten Christchurch people charged over the police’s Operation Lime cannabis raids have been committed for trial, and sent to a pre-trial conference on September 24.

The arrests were part of series of nationwide swoops on April 27 targeting Switched On Gardener shops, and Pet and Garden Supplies in Christchurch.

The Christchurch accused face a total of more than 60 charges.

The new date was announced at post-committal conferences in the Christchurch District Court offices today. All of the accused remain on bail.

The charges include supplying cannabis growing equipment, DVDs, and magazines, cultivation, and possession of cannabis for supply.
