Teen charged with abduction, two rapes
A Loburn teenager has been charged with the rape and abduction of an 11-year-old girl and the rape of a 17-year-old woman.
The man was arrested after a high-speed pursuit in North Canterbury which ended with a crash in Loburn about 11am on Sunday.
The man was treated for minor injuries and then taken into custody to appear in the Christchurch District Court where he was granted name suppression because of health reasons, and remanded in custody without plea to appear by video link from prison on November 4.
