jury-boxEvidence from 19 Crown witnesses will be called at the trial of 45-year-old Lucille Sarah Scollay in the High Court at Christchurch on a charge of murdering her husband.

The first stage of jury selection was quickly completed and the court adjourned while the jury went into the jury room to select its foreperson.

Scollay, a cleaner, denies the charge of murder at a trial which is expected to last just three days.

The Crown says Scollay murdered her husband, 48-year-old Guy Christian Scollay, at their home in Edgeware Road, St Albans, on the early morning of February 10, 2013.

The High Court has murder trials running in adjoining courtrooms this week.
