Information on robber sought
Police are appealing for information from the public to identify an armed man who held up a Papanui dairy on Tuesday evening, July 8.
The man entered the Featherstone Dairy on the corner of Harewood Road and Harris Crescent, and demanded cash from the lone shopkeeper while holding a black, single-barrelled pistol.
When he became startled he left without any cash or other items and was last seen leaving the scene on foot, heading west on Harris Crescent.
He is described as a caucasian, wearing grey track pants, black “Element” hooded sweat-top with a blue t-shirt undernearth, black balaclava, and black gloves.
He was carrying a black and red backpack.
