Murder trial set for April

High Court-panoply1A two-week trial beginning April 13 has been set for a Christchurch woman charged with the murder of 30-year-old Cory James Protos.

Twenty-two-year-old Zariah Jae Samson was remanded in custody for trial at a pre-trial call-over before Justice David Gendall in the High Court at Christchurch today.

She has denied the charge of murdering Protos on April 27. Police allege he was killed at a property in Conference Street, central Christchurch, before his body was moved to a home in Bryndwr where Samson lived.
