Office administrator admits frauds
A 34-year-old Kaiapoi office administrator for two companies pleaded guilty to 16 charges of fraud in the Christchurch District Court.
At one company, Karen Marie Humm used a computer to access bank accounts for customers and changed their numbers to her bank account number. She paid herself five times, totalling $7133.
At the other company she did not bank money into their account 11 times but took over $2700 for her own use.
Judge Raoul Neave remanded Humm on bail to April 21 for sentencing. He ordered a reparation report, a pre-sentence report and a report to assess Humm’s suitability for a home detention sentence.
