Charges over alleged stolen dog
Two women are facing charges over the alleged theft and receiving of an $800 dog.
One is charged with stealing the dog, and the other is charged with receiving a dog of the same value and being reckless about whether it was stolen.
Both women have given their address as the same central Christchurch hostel.
Amy Louise Bunker, 19, is charged with stealing the dog from a named owner on January 12.
Heidi Marie Trinnaman, a 33-year-old care-giver, is charged with receiving the stolen dog a day later.
Both were granted registrar’s remand without needing to make a court appearance at the Christchurch District Court.
They were remanded to appear again on March 17, so that they could get legal representation.
No pleas have been entered.
