Bus driver denies sex charges
A former Christchurch bus driver is denying sex allegations.
Robert Selwyn Burrett, 63, pleaded not guilty to three charges before a registrar at the Christchurch District Court today.
A judge imposed orders at an earlier hearing, suppressing the detail of the charges, but allowing publication of Burrett’s name.
He was today remanded by a registrar for a case review hearing on June 22 after indicating his not guilty pleas. A case review is the next step on the path to a trial.
Burrett has been granted bail on strict conditions.
