Teen denies driving charges
A teenage driver who faces a $50,000 bill for damage to two petrol pumps after an alleged incident on the forecourt of the Kirwee Service Station is denying all charges.
Kaylib Dallas Kauri Moana, an 18-year-old labourer from Hornby, indicated the not guilty pleas before a registrar at the Christchurch District Court today.
He was remanded to a case review hearing on August 31 on charges of driving with excess breath-alcohol of 930mcg of alcohol to a litre of breath, and careless driving on the West Coast Road, State Highway 73, at Kirwee, on June 6.
