Court House-entranceA Christchurch man is denying a charge of importing the class A drug cocaine and is being held in custody for a case review in September.

Lee Dixon, a 33-year-old air conditioning engineer, entered not guilty pleas to all the drugs charges he is facing at an appearance before Judge Brian Callaghan in the Christchurch District Court today.

He denies the charge of importing cocaine, conspiring to deal with a class A drug, three charges of drug dealing, and a “password” charge under new search and surveillance rules where investigators require access to a computer system.

He was one of three men arrested in Christchurch on July 1 as part of Operation Hook, a joint investigation between police and the Customs Service.

The other two men, aged 38 and 44, are also before the courts but their cases are being dealt with separately.

Judge Callaghan remanded Dixon in custody to September 28.
