Bail refused after man found in roof space

Bail has been refused for a 38-year-old man who was caught hiding in the roof space of a Wainoni Road house after breaching his previous bail.
Brent Christopher Skellerup was arrested early today when police searched for him at the address for a series of breaches of his bail curfew.
Police and the Crown opposed Skellerup being readmitted to bail when he appeared before Judge Tony Couch in the Christchurch District Court a few hours after his arrest.
Judge Couch refused further bail and remanded Skellerup in custody for sentencing on September 2 on charges he has already admitted of burglary, breaching bail, and breaching post-sentence conditions.
