February date set for Samson murder trial
A three-week trial for Zariah Jae Samson has been scheduled to begin on February 8 in the High Court at Christchurch on a charge of murdering a 30-year-old Ashburton man.
The Crown alleges that Samson, 23, murdered Cory James Protos in Christchurch in April 2014.
The trial date was set by Justice Cameron Mander at a High Court pre-trial call-over in Christchurch today.
Samson will be represented at the trial by Jonathan Eaton, QC, and Barnaby Hawes represents the Crown.
