Gang kidnap allegations heading for trial
One of ten men charged with kidnapping and assaulting a rival gang member has pleaded not guilty in the Christchurch District Court today and the case is heading for a jury trial.
Dylan Raymond Shannon Corbin, 26, of Spreydon, denies kidnapping and intentionally causing grievous bodily harm to Dawson Reihana, a 34-year-old Dallington man. He was badly injured and hospitalised after the attack.
The men were arrested after members of the Armed Offender Squad searched two properties in Ajax Street, Shirley, and Bowenvale Avenue, Cashmere, on August 16.
Judge John Strettell today remanded Corbin in custody to a Crown case review hearing on October 19.
