Third person charged with dairy robberies
A third person has been charged with the robberies of two Christchurch dairies, while armed with an air pistol, on Monday night.
Claudia Jade Francis Martin, 20, of no fixed abode, appeared in the Christchurch District Court yesterday and was remanded in custody by Judge Brian Callaghan to appear by audio video-link from the Christchurch prison on September 24.
Jesse Mana-Roy Kahu, 21 from Addington, was remanded in custody to September 21, when he appeared in court on September 1.
Larissa Rose Stevens, a Parklands 20-year-old, was granted bail in another court today. Judge Stephen O’Driscoll remanded her to appear in court again on September 24.
The three are alleged to have entered the Little Street dairy on Hoon Hay Road demanding cigarettes and cash but left empty handed. It is alleged they then went to a dairy on Selwyn Street, Addington, where two of them made off with a small amount of tobacco and cash.
