Woman charged with speedway thefts
A woman has been charged that on four occasions she took cash from Sunset Speedway in Westport.
Tania Dawn Lind, a 33-year-old Northwood manager, was given a registrar’s remand to November 17, and did not appear in the Christchurch District Court.
The alleged offending totals $6638 and occurred in January, February, March, and April 2016.
The charge reads that having control of property, namely cash, in circumstances that she knows requires her to deal with any proceeds arising from the property in accordance with the requirement of Sunset Speedway Inc, she did not deal with the money as required and committed theft.
