Two of the three men charged with armed robberies, and burglaries through Christchurch in March and April were remanded in custody when they appeared in the Christchurch District Court today.
Thirty-eight-year-old Crete Campaign Wikotu faces 17 charges, including two joint offending charges with Houlyo Steven Regan, 35, of armed robberies using wire cutters and a knife, and a crowbar.
Regan is charged with three armed robberies, and dishonestly getting into a car.
Police said the three men were arrested after six aggravated robberies and two burglaries in Christchurch.
The alleged burglaries happened in Ranfurly Street, St Albans, and the armed robberies in Fresh Choice Edgeware, Burger King Shirley, Countdown Northlands, Z Energy Carlton Corner, Kiwibank/Postshop Tower Junction, and Liquorland Fitzgerald Ave.
Wikotu was remanded in custody to appear in court again on April 29, and Regan was remanded in custody to April 24.
The third man charged, 18-year-old Lucas Lynch, appeared in court on Saturday, and was remanded to appear in court again on April 10.
