Electronically monitored bail was granted to an 18-year-old who had been charged with offending linked to the mosque shootings video.
The teenager still has name suppression, and was charged with possession of the objectionable video posted online by the mosque shooter. He was also charged with threatening behaviour likely to incite violence 12 days after the March 15 shootings which killed 50 people at two Christchurch mosques.
Defence counsel Nicola Hansen agreed to the bail conditions on behalf of the teen, which included non-association with other people charged, supervised internet use by his mother or father, and not to go within 200 metres of a mosque.
Judge Stephen O’Driscoll remanded him without plea to May 13.
