High Court jury trials are usually scheduled for the two jury courts on level four of the Court House. District Court jury trials are held in the courts on level two.

Ashburton murder trial

February 22

Beginning of three-week murder trial in the High Court for Russell John Tully, 49, on two charges of murder, and an attempted murder charge arising from a shooting incident in the WINZ office in Ashburton on September 1, 2014. Peggy Turuhira Noble and Susan Leigh Cleveland were killed in the shooting.
