High Court jury trials are usually scheduled for the two jury courts on level four of the Court House. District Court jury trials are held in the courts on level two.

Drug importation alleged

November 20

Remand on bail for sentencing in the Christchurch District Court a 37-year-old child care worker, Haley Carol Jacobs, who pleaded guilty on September 13 to a representative charge of importing a class A drug, methamphetamine, which Customs had intercepted on its way in to New Zealand from South Africa. Her interim name suppression was also lifted on that day.
