Luke Henry: Kidnapping and rape sentencing
The Crown has asked for the necessary health assessors’ reports so that an open-ended preventive detention sentence can be considered for Luke James Henry, 34, who was convicted at a High Court trial in May 2018 of raping, kidnapping and choking a woman he had met through an online dating service. The sentencing is set for 2.15pm today before Justice David Gendall. Barnaby Hawes appears for the Crown, Josh Lucas for the defence. Henry is a second strike offender.
