High Court jury trials are usually scheduled for the two jury courts on level four of the Court House. District Court jury trials are held in the courts on level two.

Murder trial begins over killing at Rangiora

September 15

Two-week trial begins in the High Court for two men charged with the murder of Rangiora man Tony John Lochhead, aged 51, and aggravated wounding of his brother Peter Graham Lochhead, in an incident at the Lochheads’ home on the evening of Friday September 13. The men are Jason William Baker, aged 39, of Linwood, and Shaun Murray Robert Innes, 37, of Rakaia. The two defendants remain in custody.
