Sentencing for historic sex offences

Sentencing before Justice David Gendall in the High Court for Sidney John Hurst, aged 77, for sex offending against two girls — one rape and repeated indecent assaults — dating from 1975 back as far as 1955. Name suppression was lifted when he was found guilty at the end of an eight-day jury trial on April 12.
