David Bain trial delay

A two-week delay has been agreed for the start of the trial of David Bain on charges of murdering five members of his family in Dunedin in 1994.

The trial is now scheduled to start in the High Court in Christchurch on March 1.

It had previously been set down for February 16.

The court has been told the trial could run for up to three months.

Bain served 13 years in jail before the Privy Council ordered a retrial.
