No bail was sought when a man charged over a chasing and ramming incident made his third remand appearance in the Christchurch District Court today.
The further remand was requested by defence counsel Paul Johnson and Cody Derek Martin was remanded in custody to April 8 by Judge David Saunders.
Martin, 23, has been charged with assault arising from a domestic incident in Hills Road, two charges of assault with a baseball bat, five charges of assault with a motor vehicle, three charges of resisting arrest, reckless driving, driving with excess breath-alcohol, failing to stop for police, two charges of threatening to kill, breach of bail, and intentional damage of a fence.
The police say an ambulance and a police patrol vehicle were damaged after the rammings.
