Two men arrested over a weapons incident that closed Linwood Avenue for about an hour last week were further remanded in custody when they appeared at a court sitting inside Christchurch Men?s Prison today.
Joshua Rangi Fahey, a 27-year-old bartender from Sydenham, was remanded to a post-committal conference on September 9 on charges of unlawful possession of a pistol and ammunition.
Reece William Janetins Skipper, a 33-year-old unemployed Casebrook man, was remanded to July 22.
Neither entered pleas, nor applied for bail. Neither has been charged over a replica grenade which resulted in the road being closed after it was found by the police during the incident.
