Police seek witnesses to hit-and-run accident
Police are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run accident in which a woman cyclist was injured on Monday evening.
The woman was knocked off her bicycle about 7pm, at the intersection of Johns Road, Harewood Road, and Russley Road.
Police are seeking witnesses to the crash and in particular, any information about a four-wheel-drive vehicle which left the scene south on Russley Road and a silver car driven by a young man which left the scene east on Harewood Rd.
The victim was admitted to Christchurch hospital with serious injuries.
The young man may unknowingly have been a witness to the crash.
