Facts of case in murder prosecution suppressed
Police have been granted an order suppressing all the facts of the case in a murder prosecution brought against a Canterbury woman today.
The 47-year-old woman is charged with the murder and attempted murder of a man in 2009.
Police sought the suppression order when the woman appeared at a Christchurch District Court hearing at the Rangiora Court House this afternoon, and it was granted by Judge Colin Doherty.
They did not oppose the woman?s release on bail, which was granted, and she will be next due to appear on November 16 at the court at the Nga Hau e Wha marae in Aranui.
