Meth lab charge admitted

A 31-year-old Spreydon man has admitted charges relating to the discovery of a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory in Tilford Street, Woolston, on April 15.

Jeffery William Wyatt pleaded guilty to the charge of manufacture of the class A controlled drug, and possession of ammunition, at an appearance before Judge Patricia Costigan in the Christchurch District Court today.

He has been in custody since his arrest a month ago, and will remain in custody awaiting sentence.

The case has been sent to the High Court for sentencing on June 19.
