Custody remand after Ashburton arrest

Court House-general 3An Ashburton man who evaded the police for two weeks before his arrest yesterday on five charges, was remanded in custody at an appearance in the Christchurch District Court.
Christopher Allan Esmy Quinton, 41, was found at a house in Ashburton and arrested without incident on a warrant on domestic violence charges.
He has entered no pleas to charges of breaching a restraining order and a protection order on December 28, and breach of a protection order, threatening to kill a woman, and unlawful possession of a knife on June 23, 2013.
Judge Duncan Harvey remanded him to the Ashburton Court on March 17.
