Not guilty pleas on North Canterbury rape charges

Court House-07Three of the five men charged with a rape of a woman in North Canterbury on the same day in May have pleaded not guilty and been remanded on bail to case review sessions.

Troy Matua James McIver, a 20-year-old rigger, and Brook Sebastian Norris, a 21-year-old landscape gardener were remanded to December 22. This is the same date that a fourth man, Isaac Jason Mould, 20, was remanded to at an earlier court session when he indicated a not guilty plea.

Ky Robert Reginald Reid, a 20-year-old logging contractor, pleaded not guilty and was remanded to February 2.

A fifth man was being dealt with separately and has already appeared in court.
