Police logo-05A man arrested in an Armed Offenders Squad raid on a Lyttelton property yesterday was remanded in custody at a brief Christchurch District Court appearance.

Thirty-five-year-old Christopher David Roche, of no fixed abode, was taken into custody on firearms and property offences, breach of bail, and two breaches of extended supervision.

He faced new charges at his court appearance today, and has entered no pleas to reckless driving on Stanmore Road, driving while forbidden, and failing to stop.

At the request of defence counsel Paul Norcross, Judge Jane Farish remanded Roche in custody to December 15 for an appearance by video-link from the prison. There was no bail application.
