Court House-Sept-2013-06An Oxford man charged with thefts of trade tools and a trailer worth a total of $60,000 from two Christchurch construction companies will stay in custody till next week before his bail application is considered.

The bid for release on bail by David John Hunter, 31, was put off on Thursday to get more information that Christchurch District Court Judge Alistair Garland wanted.

The information was put before the judge today, but the hearing has now been adjourned to March 11 at the request of defence counsel Tony Greig so that evidence can be heard.

Hunter was also arrested this week on charges of unlawfully taking a van and threatening a man with intent to frighten him.
