Women deny stolen dog charges
Two women charged with stealing and receiving an $800 dog have indicated not guilty pleas and were today remanded to case review hearings in May.
The women made appearances before a registrar at the Christchurch District Court today, and were remanded on bail.
Both women have given their address as the same central Christchurch hostel.
Amy Louise Bunker, 19, is charged with stealing the dog from a named owner on January 12. She was remanded to May 18.
Heidi Marie Trinnaman, a 33-year-old care-giver, is charged with receiving the stolen dog the next day, and being reckless about whether it was stolen. She was remanded to May 12.
Both women are on bail.
