Driver denies cycle death charge
A truck driver charged with the death of a cyclist in a Hornby crash last September has pleaded not guilty before a registrar at the Christchurch District Court.
David Peter Connell, 50, of Spreydon, entered the plea Monday and was remanded on bail to appear at a case review hearing on May 19.
He is charged with careless driving causing the death of cyclist Ming-Chih Hsieh in a September 29 crash on Waterloo Road.
