Delay for murder trial
A Christchurch High Court murder trial set to start in 11 days has been adjourned.
A woman, 23, was due to stand trial on June 2 for the murder of a 30-year-old man from Ashburton.
The murder allegedly took place in Christchurch in April 2014.
Justice Rachel Dunningham today announced that she had granted an adjournment for the two-week trial.
The case will now be called at a pre-trial callover on July 3, for a new trial date to be set.
