Home invasion jury returns to court on Thursday
A Christchurch District Court jury will resume its deliberations tomorrow in the trial of a mother and her two sons on charges arising from the violent invasion of a home in Wainoni.
The jury retired to consider its verdicts at 3.30pm and then was sent home for the night at 5pm.
Judge Brian Callaghan had spent much of the day summing up in the seven-day trial.
Sarah Janine Godkin, 48, Isaac Miles Milner, 22, and Ethan Wikaira Milner, 21, deny charges of aggravated burglary, and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Godkin also denies a charge of sexual violation of a woman who was allegedly injured in the March 2014 incident.
