Woman faces wounding charge
Bail was granted to a 48-year-old woman facing a serious wounding charge after an alleged stabbing at an address in Hornby on Thursday.
Nicola Ann Winter was remanded without plea to January 5 by Judge Jane McMeeken at an appearance in the Christchurch District Court.
Police and ambulance were called to the home after receiving a call that a 48-year old man had been stabbed. He was taken to Christchurch Hospital for surgery and his condition was described as stable the next day.
Winter has been charged with wounding him with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Judge McMeeken imposed bail conditions about where the woman must live, and banned contact with the alleged victim.
