Woman charged over P-lab allegations
A woman living with children in a house in McGregors Road which was alleged to have a P-lab on the property was remanded on bail on 11 charges in the Christchurch District Court yesterday.
Jasmine Aroha Karetai, 36, has been jointly charged with Gary Mark De Latour, 48, for having a methamphetamine lab at the address where two children were living, possession of ammunition and rifles, possession and supply of methamphetamine, and having equipment for producing methamphetamine.
Defence counsel Kerry Cook said the children had been removed from the address, and Karetai agreed to a bail condition that she not associate with the alleged co-offender, or use drugs or alcohol.
Judge Brian Callaghan remanded Karetai on bail to January 18 for her to arrange legal aid.
After the police executed a warrant at the address on December 3 the Fire Service was called to decontaminate the occupants.
