A 24-year-old man admitted indecently assaulting two women in their homes on the same night in June, in the Christchurch District Court today.
At about 1.30am, Meaalofa Setu went to an address where he had previously gone to a social gathering, and entered through an unlocked rear door.
The complainant was asleep in bed with her husband, and Setu started masturbating while reaching across the husband and touching the woman.
The woman woke, and yelled at Setu who left the address.
He travelled to another house in the area, and found a woman asleep on the sofa in the lounge. He began stroking her thigh, and when she woke up she told him she needed to go to the toilet.
She left the lounge and woke her teenage son, who confronted Setu.
The police said neither of the women were physically injured but both were deeply traumatised by what had taken place.
Judge Raoul Neave read Setu the first of the three strikes warning for repeat sexual or violent offending, and remanded him in custody for sentence on March 24.
