Receiving charge from Head Hunters raid
A man said to be a senior Head Hunters gang figure has been charged with receiving stolen travel vouchers after a police raid on the gang’s Christchurch headquarters last week.
Lyndon Vaughan Richardson, 43, was granted a registrar’s remand at the Christchurch District Court today and did not need to appear before a judge.
He was remanded on bail to August 10, without plea, to get legal advice.
Richardson was charged after police raided and searched the property at Vickerys Road, Sockburn, last Thursday.
Police said the search was carried out in relation to a burglary in Halswell in which cash, travel vouchers, and laptop computers were stolen.
Richardson is charged that between March 31 and April 6 he received stolen travel vouchers worth $250 “from persons unknown” and was reckless about whether they had been stolen.
