An 19-year-old woman has pleaded not guilty to the murder of the mother of a three-year-old at a party in Avonhead in August.
Katrina Roma Epiha entered the plea through defence counsel Trudi Aickin at a video-link appearance from prison in the High Court at Christchurch today.
Epiha was remanded in custody by Justice Cameron Mander for a case review hearing on December 1.
She denies murdering Alicia Nathan, also known as Robinson, during a party at an Avonhead Road house on August 6. Nathan was allegedly stabbed.
No bail application has been made, and interim name suppression was lifted on Epiha on August 25, at her first High Court appearance.
Steve Hembrow appeared with Miss Aickin as defence counsel, and Mitchel McClenaghan appeared for the Crown. No trial date has yet been set.
