Halswell targeted in crime spree

District Court sentencing at 11.45am for David Ronald Cribb, a 24-year-old painter from Halswell, who admitted 43 charges on February 21, 2017. He admitted to having a $100-a-day drugs habit, and mainly stole from cars left parked in driveways at night, targeting the suburb of Halswell where he lived. Sentencing for mail thefts

The District Court has the sentencing at 11.45am for an unemployed, 34-year-old Christchurch woman who has admitted stealing mail from rural mailboxes across Canterbury. She has interim name suppression while a psychiatric report is prepared.
