High Court jury trials are usually scheduled for the two jury courts on level four of the Court House. District Court jury trials are held in the courts on level two.

Marcus Tucker murder appearances

June 24

High Court appearance for Peter John Carroll, 51, of Bishopdale, charged with the murder of Marcus Luke Tucker whose body was found near Lake Ellesmere on April 25, 2016. A woman who has name suppression, and Anthony Richard Dawson, 28, of Leeston, are also due to appear on charges of actively concealing evidence to enable Carroll to avoid arrest for murder. A fourth person, George Perry Waata, 51, of Opawa, has been arrested in connection with the case and charged with assaulting Tucker with intent to injure on the day of the murder. He was remanded in custody to May 26, but it likely to be included in today’s appearance.
