High Court jury trials are usually scheduled for the two jury courts on level four of the Court House. District Court jury trials are held in the courts on level two.

Sentencing over armed confrontation after theft

December 1, 2014

District Court sentencing for Daniel Michael Moynihan, 32, who has admitted charges of drink-driving, shoplifting, burglary, theft from a car, and aggravated assault involving a knife. He has admitted that after he stole the takings from a food stall, he used a knife to confront a passing motorist who pursued him into Hagley Park.
